MHP takes to the waves in Annual Charity Raft Race

Since moving to their spacious new offices in Lossiemouth, staff of Moray Housing Partnership have been keen to give their support to the local community and how better than to raise funds for RAF Lossiemouth’s Charities, than by entering their own craft in the Lossiemouth Raft Race.

The MHP raft was designed and built by staff with sponsorship from Springfield Properties of Elgin and Robbie Porter, Plumbing & Heating Engineer, Elgin.  Captain Allan Liddle and crew members, Peter Cruickshank, Hannah McSherry, Asa Black, Andy MacKintosh and John Taylor all had a soaking with only two crew members and the captain making it back to the finish line against a very strong tide and gained a very respectable fifth place.

Clare Bradley Director said  “for first timers an excellent result I think, especially as half the crew haven’t been in a boat before let alone a raft, another example of the determination team spirit and courage of our staff, that makes MHP such a great place to work”

MHP staff will now concentrate on designing next years entry as all enjoyed the day and are determined to enter next year’s race.
