MHP History

The Moray Housing Partnership Limited was first established in 1999 as the first locally based Housing Association in Moray with its office in Commerce Street, Elgin. It was supported and promoted by The Moray Council to undertake the majority of the Council’s New Housing Partnership Initiative of 206 new build properties in Elgin, Buckie, Dufftown, Garmouth, Finocdity, Keith and Portgordon.

In 2004 MHP appointed a Director and became independent from the Council. MHP is governed by an Independent Committee of Management with tenant and community representatives elected each year at MHP’s AGM, together with nominees from the Moray Council
