News AreaMORAY TENANTS OPEN DAYSaturday 18th May 2013 at Elgin Town Hall between 10:30 and 12:30Tenants and residents who live in Moray are invited to attend an open day on Saturday 18th May 2013. Doors will be open for people to drop in between 10:30am and 12:30 with everyone invited, whether you are an existing tenant or not, and children are welcome to come along too.
This is the first local event of its kind organised by tenants, residents and staff from Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords in Moray, Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. The Open Day seeks to inform tenants and residents of current topical events in housing such as the Scottish Social Housing Charter, the new requirements for the Scottish Housing Regulator, Fuel Poverty and the impact of Welfare Reform. The Open Day is designed to give tenants, residents and their families a chance to meet and talk with officers informally. Local organisations such as Quarriers, Big Plus & Adult Literacy, Forres Credit Union, Energy Saving Scotland Advice Centre (ESAC), Moray HandyPersons Service, Moray Womans Aid, Grampian Fire & Rescue and the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) are also going to be in attendance. There will be free refreshments, childrens entertainment including face painting and balloons. All those attending will be entered into a free prize draw for shopping vouchers, Argos Vouchers; and various other prizes. The Open Day will be both informative and entertaining so we hope lots of tenants and residents come along and enjoy the event. Transport can be arranged. Please contact Amanda Gregory (Senior Housing Policy Officer) on 01343 563538 or email:amanda.gregory@moray.gov.uk for further details. |
